Guidelines on the news treatment of religion in the media

Abstract

The role of the media is vital in promoting equal rights in the diversity of personal choices. Dealing with a reality as complex as religious plurality requires specific knowledge and also a critical and integrative vision. For this reason, the Audiovisual Council of Catalonia and the General Directorate of Religious Affairs have published a document of recommendations on the informative treatment of religious events in the media.
